Applicant Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Scholar4U handles personal information submitted with a Research Partner application.
What we collect
We collect the details you provide in your application: your name, mobile and WhatsApp numbers, email address, city and state, qualifications, research domain and specialization, experience, professional status, skills, CV, portfolio link, introduction, preferred partnership category, consultation and project delivery experience, availability, commitment preferences, and how you heard about us. We also record technical and campaign information such as your IP address in hashed form, browser user-agent, referrer and any campaign tags on your visit.
Why we use it
We use this information only to evaluate Research Partner applications and to contact you about your application and possible next steps. We do not use application information for unrelated purposes.
Where it is stored
Application records are stored on secure Scholar4U servers, and uploaded CVs are kept in private file storage outside the public website. Application details are also intended to be held in Scholar4U's Microsoft 365 workbook for authorised review.
Who can see it
Your application is available only to authorised Scholar4U reviewers who need it to evaluate and manage your application.
How long we keep it
We plan to retain unsuccessful applications for 24 months after the application decision, then securely delete them unless a longer period is required by law or you have agreed otherwise.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may request access to or correction or deletion of your personal data, subject to applicable law. We will respond to deletion requests within 30 days. To make a request or ask a privacy question, contact support@scholarforyou.com.
